Stephanie and Jessica are Ecuadorian-Americans who grew up in Arlington, Virginia. They are a part of the Spring 2016 Almaworks Startup Accelerator cohort at Columbia University.
Stephanie has four years of experience working in healthcare. Since the inception of state and federal marketplaces–a key proponent of the 2010 Affordable Care Act–she has done plan development and training at a startup health insurance company. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2013.
Jessica, a current student pursuing Computer Science Engineering at Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, will graduate later this year. She currently serves as President of Columbia’s Girls Who Code chapter. Jess has extensive experience with software development in the ad-tech industry.
